O'hare Modernization Project

Relocation of Irving Park Road

The completed relocation of Irving Park Road project consisted of Terrell Materials manufacturing of over 24,000 cubic yards of portland cement concrete, crushing nearly 140,000 tons of concrete, crushing 80,000 tons of asphalt grindings and the installation of nearly two miles of T-wall (retaining wall for the Union Pacific rail).

Terrell manufactured and coordinated delivery of the portland cement concrete via Semi-trucks from our on-site portable batch plant.  The sub grade came from the crushed concrete that Terrell produce from our portable crusher.  This green/sustainable effort was part of O’Hare’s efforts for green construction.
